Recipe Tomato Sauce

 500 g Tomatoes, canned peeled
 ½ Onion, red
 2 Garlic gloves
 Oregano
 Salt
 Pepper, ground black
 Olive Oil
 fresh Basil

Finely dice the onion and chop the garlic.

Puree the canned tomatoes with an immersion blender.

Sauté the onion and garlic in some olive oil over low heat. Add the oregano.

Add the canned tomatoes and simmer everything over low heat until reduced by about half.

Season with salt and freshly ground black pepper.

Let a sprig of fresh basil steep in the tomato sauce at the end.
